Soap carving

“I” of GAIN and I carved soap in preparation for Valentine’s Day. The Scrooge in me likes to say, “Singles awareness day.” We’re planning a family day, because Mr. GAIN can profess his love to me any other day and have it be more meaningful than a day that culture and society chose for him. That’s the anti-consumer in me.

I thought of carving soap with my kids. I remember carving a fish out of soap as a kid. I’m sure if I dug around at my mom’s I’d find that she still has it.

We’re totally with you on this. V-day is possibly the most over-rated holiday. We’ll be having the typical family night after mass also. Have fun! PS..I’m still trying to grasp the concept of scrapping 25 pages in one day!! you rock!

We have since burnished the soap with a washcloth. Very pretty.
