After half a year of work between maplenolbarn.wordpress.com, www.savethebarn.com, and the Facebook group Save the Maplenol Dairy Barn at Valley High School, my group ended up bringing a lot of attention to a historically significant structure (eligible for the National Register of Historic Places) and stopped the school board’s demolition order. That is HUGE in the preservation world. If you want to powerfully tie those three presences together like we did, talk to me. I can also talk about Twitter, which we used for live updates during public meetings and for generally spreading news.
