Sewing a wallet

G of GAIN, age 10, spent all morning sewing a soft wallet. He has other wallets. One came with a pair of jeans and is not long enough to hold American bills. Another one is very fat with a lot of clear pockets for credit cards and photos — clearly a “grandma” type of wallet.

He cleverly (in my mind) designed it to have a pocket on the inside for his library card and gift cards and a long pocket on the outside for bills. Three layers of fabric. All hand cut and sewn this morning. He’s definitely a thinking child.

He used it this evening already! I’m so proud of him.
