My second choice of fabrics was quite difficult. The other ‘egg patterns’ left in my layer cake were not monochromatic. The grape egg was violet on violet. The other monochrome ones were already made into purses. The remaining eggs were contrasting, which is not what I wanted for a business card holder.
I settled on this combo. The blue is from the layer cake, the orange (monochromatic) was a Hancock Fabrics clearance bin find. No details on it.
I want to have something darker for the exterior to hide any dirt. I currently keep my business cards in an exterior pocket which leaves the top edge exposed to handling (which makes them dirty).
