I finally had the sewing house party. (What? You didn’t know about it? Follow me on Twitter and you’ll know about it next time.) Because my husband works at night from home (he runs telephone town halls; if you need to hold a telephone town hall, contact me), Cathy was kind enough to hostess. I hauled my tools and notions over — we had a cutting area, an ironing area, and four sewing machines set up in the kitchen!
Everyone left the party with goodies and an accessory roll customized to the stitcher’s needs. I also showed a few hand stitched things that I had with me:
My purse. (fabric: Freebird) Inside is a pocket tissue cover, which was the first time I made my own bias tape.
I also keep a business card holder in my purse.

What handmade things do you have with you?
