Beehive update

You don’t see many photos of hives in autumn. Winter hives with snow piled on top and around are common, but autumn, not really. Here’s my public service photo to right that wrong:

The bees got wrapped up and insulated last week. With the temps getting low and frosty (finally), they could use assistance in keeping warm. I also added a half gallon of syrup. With the drought, foraging for pollen and nectar has been very iffy. I didn’t check the pollen stores, so I might have to ask my brother if I could buy a pollen patty from him.
