Washington is a geographically diverse area. We spent a few days east of the Cascade Mountains. We had a lot of snow.
In fact, upon arrival to the Evergreen State, we just made it through Snoqualmie Pass to our rental house just two hours before it was closed because of snowfall. Our property manager was stuck in Bellevue after his family watched their daughter’s basketball tournament games all day. Businesses had employees unable to drive the pass to get to work. It was serious snow — about 16″ that first afternoon. We got plowed out of our place around 6 p.m. the next day. We were fortunate to have made a run to the grocer’s upon arrival.
