When I got my community garden plot, I searched my ‘garden drawer’ for seeds. I found kale. Why? I have no idea. I have no past relationship with kale. I read about kale, see it at the stores, but I’ve never consumed kale. Until this June.
I was successful in starting kale in a milk jug greenhouse. Kale was my first harvest in the community garden. I turned it into kale chips. Wash, tear or cut to remove the stem, drizzle with oil and sprinkle with salt. Bake for ten minutes and voila! Kale chips! I’m not sure what store bought kale chips are like, but these were crispy and perfect. And so yummy that I didn’t take a picture. I highly suggest making your own kale chips.
