Our kitchen counter has been black granite tile for over a year now, but one thing has bothered me ever since:
Near my stove, this ugly edge appears. There is no clearance for a regular pencil tile, so I turned to wood putty to fill in the gaps….
It smells terribly fume-y — I think it’s sawdust and resin. On the other hand, it is completely sand-able, which is quite lovely.
Next, I taped and painted….
See the pencil trim over on the right? No room for it near the stove.
And now I’m happy!
