I took my youngest child clothes shopping, and while she was in a fitting room, I took a stroll out of curiousity to see if the store had any honey inventory. It did! On its food shelves, there were bottles of specialty honeys: acacia, eucalyptus, lavender, and creamed honeys. I also found honey in the beauty area: bubble bath melt (a new product to me) and face masks. Honey was noted in the labeling on both s moisturizing.
It looks like honey is a mainstream thing. This store was certainly not a ‘buy local’ kind of place, but more of a place to find out of season therefore discounted designer stuff, including food and beauty products. I am not sure that I would choose the to use the phrase “designer honey,” but I certainly recognize it as a real thing.
