Partridge Pea

Partridge pea, Chamaecrista fasciculata

I can recognize it from the roadside while I’m driving by its short height (2′-3′), and small dark center (red stamens), and seed pods. Up close, I can see its typical legume leaves and their bluish cast.

O’Neal’s study found significant amounts of this pollen in the hives in August. It is included in the CP-42 seed mix.
